Arabica Coffee Beans

Arabica is one of two species of coffee. The other, Robusta, is much easier to grow but is inferior in flavor, which means it is used only in cheaper, mass-produced blends. Arabica is indigenous to Ethiopia, but has been cultivated in other lands, particularly southwest Arabia, for more than a millennium.

Legend has it that humans began cultivating coffee after noticing that goats got a whole lot friskier after they nibbled coffee tree leaves and berries. The first written record of a beverage made from roasted coffee beans comes from ancient Arabian scholars, who said they could work longer hours when imbibing the brew. Scholars still depend on coffee, but its use has spread throughout the world and across all cultures.

We observe a number of small coffee rituals throughout the day, from that first welcome cup of eye-opener in the morning, through the social customs of coffee break and coffee klatch, to the after-dinner cup in a coffeehouse or café. Unfortunately, though, the rise in the consumption of dark roast and other specialty coffees in recent years has led to a loss in quality. Don't settle for an inferior brew handed to you in a paper cup!

At Hair Raiser Coffee Company, we love coffee. We're downright obsessed with it. But that obsession results in a cup of the darkest, richest, most intense java you've ever experienced. With our special roasting technique, you get all of the smoky goodness with no burned aftertaste. Any questions?
